Hi everyone,
I'd like to bring to the attention of RealSense D415 and D435 camera users that a new firmware (version 5.9.2.0) was released on 22 February 2018. It can be downloaded from the link below:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27522/Latest-Firmware-for-Intel-RealSense-D400-Product-Family?v=t Download Latest Firmware for Intel® RealSense™ D400 Product Family
It lists the following items as having been fixed in 5.9.2:
- D400 Series camera is not recognized after reboot on Linux
- RGB at 60 FPS may not have the right exposure set when exposure is equal / less than -2
Page 6 of the firmware's release notes list the above fixes, plus items that are planned to be fixed in upcoming updates or do not have a fix by Intel (for example, because it needs to be fixed on Microsoft or Google's end).
Pages 8 to 11 also list workaround suggestions for some 400 Series problems that do not have a firmware fix yet.

The most recent SDK release says in its notes that "FW update tool for Linux is coming soon.".
