Try drivers from this list: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/96551/Intel-HD-Graphics-620 Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 620

If you encounter an error message about validation, then install driver via "have disk method" as described at:

www.windowscentral.com/how-install-intel-beta-graphics-drivers-surface

(ignore prolog about MS surface)

RPG089: Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Graphics communities. We are sorry to hear the laptop is not working properly.

For this type of scenario we always recommend to install the graphics drivers provided by the manufacturer of the laptop, please try driver 4627:

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/sa/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/300-series/310-15ikb/80tv/downloads https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/sa/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/300-series/310-15ikb/80tv/downloads

If the problem gets fixed with the Lenovo drivers, then you can keep using those drivers and then disable the Windows automatic updates, on the link below you will find the instructions of how to do that or another option will be to contact Microsoft to get those instructions:

https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/ https://www.howtogeek.com/302595/how-to-stop-windows-10-from-automatically-updating-hardware-drivers/

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/ https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/

Since the laptop is working with Intel® HD Graphics 620, we can try a new driver version 4877:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27355/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-60-?product=96551 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27355/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-60-?product=96551

Do you have the option to use a different HDMI cable?

Some TVs also have their own driver and firmware update, so as an option you can always confirm that with the manufacturer of it.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards,

Alberto R

RPG089: You are very welcome. Sure, on the following link, look for the option that says "Display and Video Graphics", choose that option and then you will see 2 options, Nvidia VGA and Intel VGA, the driver version for the Intel driver is 4627, then click on the "checkmark" and then select "My Download List" and after that select "Download":

Similar situation. The CPU is I5-6400. When you install the intel hd graphics 530 driver. When you start after the logo, the monitor only glows.

RPG089: Thank you very much for letting us know those results, we are sorry to hear the issue persists. The graphics driver version 4627 provided by Lenovo was customized by them to work with your specific platform, if the problem remains after installing that driver then at this point the next thing to do will be to get in contact with directly with Lenovo for further technical or warranty assistance on this subject.

Additionally, to disable the Windows automatic driver update will be a good thing to try, because as you mentioned, when you remove the driver it works, and then probably Windows does the update and the problem came back again, so we suggest to try that as well.

Any questions, please let me know.

RPG089: Thank you very much for providing those results.

Did you get in contact with Lenovo to confirm if they have additional troubleshoot steps on this matter?

Did you confirm with Microsoft if there is another option to disable the Windows updates or if they can provide additional suggestions on this subject?

I found a link where there are some recovery options to reset the PC, we can always try that as well:

Hello,

I have a similar problem on my Lenovo V310 laptop. When I connect a laptop with TV with an HDMI cable I have an video but I do not have the sound. Sound is heard only on laptop speakers but not on TV. I try to solve the problem for a month. I literally tried everything, from reinstalling the driver, replacing the HDMI cable, to all the tutorials and tips of people who had a similar problem. The "Playback devices" option does not show HDMI options, but only the "Speakers". And "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices" are enabled. I tried to connect an HDMI cable when the TV and laptop were switched off and only after they turned them on did not help. I tried to charge the laptop when I connected the HDMI cable, it did not help. I tried on another TV, it did not work either. I've tried a lot of other things and absolutely nothing helps. Simply in the "Playback devices" option, the HDMI output option is not displayed. Please help me. . . I have a Win10 64bit and HD Graphics 620 on the computer.
