Intel HD 3000 Driver Issues

Hi guys,

I "Inherited" an Alienware M17x from a friend about three months ago, and ever since I've been tinkering to make it work at full potential again.

But this morning, I tried to force a Driver Update through Device Manager due to the Intel Update Utility not wanting to finalise the Driver updates itself, and from what I can gather, the update worked, because all I can see is White screen from the moment Windows stops loading and start displaying the login screen.

If anyone can help me out, it would be truly appreciated

Which version of Windows do you have?

What is the driver version you are trying to install on your computer?

Are you getting the latest driver from the Intel web site or your computer manufacturer's?

If you are still getting "white screen", Did you restore windows registry?
