Posted by Jesus Garcia in /community/tech/realsense/blog Intel® RealSense Community on Apr 7, 2017 2:53:00 PM

I have the same problem with the SR300 camera that came preinstalled in my HP Pavilion All-in-One PC. I purchased the PC in November 2017. The SR300 camera worked fine until I installed the Windows Creator update in January 2017. Subsequent updates to Windows haven't solved the problem (I am currently running Win10 Home Ver. 1803, build 17134.48.

HP has not provided any updates in their support site for the PC. They are blaming Windows for the problem, as expected.

Attached are the error log files.

Can anybody provide a workaround? Right now my camera, less than 7 months old, is useless.

Thanks!

Hello Copester,

Thank you for your contacting Intel® RealSense™ support.

Unfortunately the SR300/F200/R200 drivers are not fully compatible with the latest versions of Windows 10. There are no fixed drivers and since this model of camera is end of life there will not be an updated driver.

Some of the troubleshooting we recommend for this issue is to reinstall the camera driver, the instructions to reinstall the driver can be found on the following link:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000023694/emerging-technologies/intel-realsense-technology.html

There are many workarounds posted in the RealSense Community but they don't work for all users.

I hope you find this information useful.

I found this response far from "useful".

This link provided the instructions that I used to post my original request, so it is essentially a "do loop".

I will certainly think twice about buying something with Intel inside in the future.

Hello Copester,

Thank you for your reply.

This troubleshooting is provided as a best effort and our recommendation is to contact the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for support and drivers compatible with your PC.

Let us know if further assistance is required or if we can close this case.

Best regards,
