'Computer Does Not Meet Minimum Requirements...' HD 4000 Win 8.1 Driver Install

Hello,

I recently did a clean install of Windows 8 Pro, then upgraded to 8.1. I have an EVGA Nvidia GTX 670, and an i5 3570k. I'm trying to get the iGPU up and running to use Quick Sync in OBS (I stream to twitch) but get an error when installing the approriate drivers. (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23405 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23405)

Not sure what solution there is, I tried using a later driver and got the same error. I also attempted to update the drivers using the zip files and the device manager and was not able to succeed there either.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I did enable Multi-monitor functions in my Bios (I have an Asus P8Z77-V) and am about update the bios to their latest version in the hopes of that fixing the issue. I'll report back if it does.

Thanks, and happy new year!

Hi Comrade,

The above message is because you have installed a video card on the system and the driver is detecting the presence of that Third Party video card.

You need to check other settings at BIOS level through your motherboard maker that can help selecting an option to use on-board graphics or both at same time.

Probably bios updates or recovery BIOS might help

Thanks Allan,

Once I updated my bios and changed a setting in them the quick sync option in OBS became available, though I still got the same error message.

Appreciate the response.

I am sure the message is because you have installed a video card on the system and the driver is detecting Third Party video card, that's why the installation will not continue.

You can try forcing the installation of Intel generic drivers, see link below for instructions:
