I am working with a police department that are using four Lenovo Edge E430 Think PAD laptops paired with four Logitech C920 web cameras as dash cams in the vehicles. One for each car. I have noticed in each car (laptop) that the video freezes after 30 to 60 seconds. The specification on the laptops are as follows:
Intel i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50 GHz
6 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit OS
This application seems to work on most all laptops but this particular model laptop using the Intel HD 3000 graphic card seems to have trouble decoding the H.264 video from the Logitech C920 camera. I upgraded the on the Lenovo as well as the Lenovo graphic card driver but still the video freezing issues occurs every 30 seconds when their is movement in the background scene.
I know this must be something simple but I am at a loss. If I can figure out how to correct the issue then I could get all 4 cars up and running.
Please help.

Thank you, I have some questions:
Is the live footage or the saved footage choppy?
What software are you using for viewing/playback?

The live video hangs up as well as the recorded video. It seems like it the video card is unable to "keep up" when the background scenery starts moving fast. We are using the Direct Show AMCAP software program to record the video.

Did you test with different software? Perhaps the one provided by the webcam's manufacturer?
