Hi there.

Have a problem with ZenBook UX31A after last update.

Notebook start flickering.

Coz that was "unsupported" Win 10 - downgrade to Win 7...

The same.

Looks like problem with 3D chip.... Coz until its "basic video adapter" - everything looks Ok.

And VERY strange, that when I install Win 10 year ago - I didnt have any problem until that update...

Any ideas?

Roll back via https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17127/windows-back-up-restore system restore point

Then https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2500967/how-to-stop-windows-7-automatically-installing-drivers stop Windows 7 automatically installing drivers

If you still have troubles, use drivers offered here https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ASUS-ZenBook-UX31A/HelpDesk_Download/ ASUS ZenBook UX31A | Laptops | ASUS Global

Dear Stefan

Thanks for advice.....But NO. Didnt help.

Hm....

its flickering in Win 10. Flickering in Win 7.

In the moment when I instal HD4000 driver... and it switch on 3D graphic....

May be that is a hardwear trouble?

How to check 3d accelertor WITHOUT HD 4000 driver's instalation?

Is it possible?

Hello GolDenis,

What is the current driver version you have installed? Please go to Device Manger> Display adapters> Intel(R) HD Graphics right click on Properties and then go to Driver, you will be able to see the version installed.

Guys!

So... I foud the solution.

Firstly, based on thу fact that flickering was on both win 7 & win 10.... that push me thinking in the direction of hardware problem.

So... notebook was disassembled, complitly.... up to change the thermo paste on CPU & Chipset.

Everything was blow with compressor... clean with alcohol (he-he!)

And assembled back....

And - WONDER!!!!!!!!!! Problem's gone!

hm......

thanks a lot for your support.
