Hello!
this are the background:
My laptop was connected to HDMI trough cable and shuts down due power outage. Then when I try to power on again only shows windows logo screen for a few seconds and then screen is black.
I noticed that the problem is the graphics driver, I uninstall driver and works well with generic driver, then I install driver with windows update utility and fails again.
My laptop is
HP Pavilion 14-b017cl 14" Laptop Computer, Intel Core i5-3317U, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDGraphics: Intel® HD graphics 4000 with up to 1664MB total graphics memory
What can I do?

Hello arandai,
The best option is to install the graphics driver provided by your Computer Manufacture since they created the driver with special features.
From our side you can try installing and updating the graphics driver to latest by downloading it at this location:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24329 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24329
Probably, running the executable file will not work for you but give it a try. If during the installation of the driver you get any message try the steps mentioned here:

Thank you kevin, I will try today.
I installed the driver from windows update utility and downloaded .exe file from hp website but not working, when restarts my laptop (to apply graphics driver) goes to windows logo and then when disappears(supposed to go to lock screen) the screen is black.

Thank you again, I hope this helps.

You mentioned the system was running fine before the power outage. Perhaps you can try changing the HDD or SSD as per troubleshooting steps?

Installing drivers doesn't work, same issue after reboot.
Already change SDD, and also install Win 7, but is the same issue with black screen after instal graphics driver
I found this tread an looks like my problem, but is too long, I will see if they have some things to try:

If you already know the solution for this issue on this tread I will appreciate so much.
Thank you in advance

We are working towards a solution for that issue. If you are experimenting that issue my best recommendation is to post on that thread so development can get all your feedback.
