Detection bug in GameplayHardwareDetect.exe 1.0.0.0

Just tried Intel's GameplayHardwareDetect on ahttps://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-GL502VM-7th-Gen-Intel-Core/specifications/ Asus ROG GL502VMK

This rig comes with NVIDIA G-Sync, therefore Optimus is physically disabled as described at https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1032548/ How can I identify whether my gaming notebook is based on Nvidia Optimus Technology?

In other words: the iGPU doesn't appear even in the device manager.

SSU detects this correctly btw.

I guess GameplayHardwareDetect uses a database instead of doing actual hardware scanning?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, let me help you on this matter.

 

 

I just checked this information and ran the utility on one of our demo computers. This will identify if the processor integrates onboard video and provide the results, this is even if the onboard graphics solution has been disabled at BIOS level.
