Hi,
does the HD4000 driver not support Miracast on Windows 10?
When checking the DxDiag.txt output as outlined on https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/59107-check-miracast-support-windows-10-pc.html Windows 10 Forums , the DxDiag.txt says that Miracast is not supported by the graphics driver.
Is this to be expected? Or should the HD4000 driver support Miracast on Windows 10?
The https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25977/eng/ReleaseNotes_153343.4425.pdf release notes for 10.18.10.4425 as well as the https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26813/eng/releasenotes_153345.4653.pdf release notes for 10.18.10.4653 say:
"Intel Wireless Display native Miracast* support under Windows* 8.1 is now supported through the operating system's Charms menu."
So, should Miracast be supported with the HD4000 for Windows 10 as well?
Or is it no longer supported with Windows 10?
Regards

PS: According to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005492/graphics-drivers.html Frequently Asked Questions about Intel® Graphics Drivers Support for... the HD4000 apparently should support Miracast.
But then why does the DxDiag.txt say that Miracast is not supported by the graphics driver and resulting in Miracast not being available for the HD4000 on Windows 10?

Hello qp6091352,
Thank you for joining the Graphics Community. I am sorry to hear you are having issues with Miracast.
Based in our information, Windows® 10 and Intel® HD Graphics 4000 support Miracast. But, since this a Microsoft technology the best thing to do is to report this behavior with their support, find the contact information here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us https://support.microsoft.com/en-us
Regards,
Amy C.

After manually force-upgrading to the generic ZIP version of the 10.18.10.4653 driver from the Intel website using the device manager's "Have Disk..." option, DxDiag now reports Miracast to be available.
