Hi,

I have a G41 series motherboard. Is there any Intel processor which is still supported for G41 series m/b (basically LGA775 socket)? If so, where can I buy it in New Delhi pls?

Thanks,

Arvind Gupta

If you are asking about the DG41TY board that went bad, here is a list of compatible processors.

http://processormatch.intel.com/Processors/CompatibleProcessors?componentName=DG41TY Compatible Processors

For your Gigabyte G41 board, I am certain Gigabyte has a list of compatible processors. Select from those processors only, as those are the ones supported by the gigabyte bios.

Also, make certain your gigabyte g41 bios is at the proper level for the processor you select.

In New Delhi? I have no idea.

OK. Thanks for the reply. I found a list for processors supported by the gigabyte m/b I intend to buy. The list is https://www.gigabyte.com/Ajax/SupportFunction/GetCpuList/?Value=3505&Type=Product here. my my question is: how many of these are still supported. As I understand, core two/quad series came up long back.

Thanks,

Arvind Gupta.

None of them are "supported".

Using "yorkfield" as an example, they were all discontinued long ago.

And, if you have Windows 10 as a goal, you should really rethink this whole effort, as none of this will be supported on Windows 10.
