Planet Earth 2 UHD Blu-ray causes the graphics driver to crash

Hi, I am having a problem playing the Planet Earth 2 ultra HD Blu-ray disc. I am trying to play the disc using PowerDVD, but either the display either becomes glitchy and crashes to the desktop, or the graphics driver crashes with a blue screen "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" error. Another ultra HD Blu-ray that I have works fine. I have attached a screenshot of the blue screen error, as well as the relevant DxDiag file. Also, I am running the latest 15.60 drivers. Any ideas?

xorat: Thank you very much for providing that file.

Just to confirm, was the Planet Earth 2 ultra HD Blu-ray disc working fine before, the problem started after installing graphics driver version 4877?

Please try to install the graphics driver provided by ASRock, version 4542:

Using the driver from Asrock seemed to solve the issue, although I'm not sure if that's because Asrock made some sort of customization to the driver, or because it's an older version of the driver. Regardless, it seems to be working for now.

Hi, so do we need to keep this older driver version and just not update. I am fine with that but what is it with this certain uhd bluray movie? We hope this will be resolved in a future update. Thanks.

Hello, Joeblow656.

Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Communities Team.

In this case, it will be better to stick to the Motherboard drivers since they have designed them for their chipset specifications.

In the case that the troubleshooting steps attached above did not work properly for you, I highly recommend creating a new threat.
