Hello, community,
I am a pretty beginner an engineering student to this Depth Camera/Module Technology. Can anybody suggest that is it possible to use D415/D435 depth camera to work in attached pic kind of projects?
Which one of them is useful? If it is then how the RGB sensor affect the working or what exactly is the technological difference between them as discussed in this post: /thread/121690 https://communities.intel.com/thread/121690
If it is not then suggested that which series of Intel RealSense could achieve it.
I will be thankful to you.

Both the D415 and D435 USB cameras (the ones with cases) have an RGB sensor. Of the two, I would recommend the D415 if you are scanning an object that is not moving, and the D435 if you are going to be moving the camera or scanning a moving object.
If you plan on using the caseless circuit board "Module Kit" version of the camera, then you should use the D415 module if you require the camera to have an RGB sensor, as the other types of caseless module do not have an RGB sensor.
Page 3 of the tuning guide document compares the differences between the D415 and D435 USB cameras, in the section headed 'Choose best RealSense depth camera for the job"'.
