Hi,

First of all i want to say i have same temp spikes than other ppl means that if i am idle and dont even open any software my cpu will ramp up from 32-60 temp.

I maybe could live with that but iam wondering why my 1 core is running alot more hot than others?

There must be something wrong??

I think i have tryed everything that you can find from Internet even underwolting..

My setup is:

i7 7700K CPU

ASUS Maximus IX Hero

Asus ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080

2 x 8G G.Skill Trident Z DDR4, 3200MHZ

Corsair Hydro H115i

EVGA 750w SuperNova 750 G3

Fractual Design Define R5

Hello Timoxi,

It is expected that one core runs hotter that the others, see here; /thread/21417 https://communities.intel.com/thread/21417 post # 1, I am pretty sure that this will give you a better understanding. One more thing I would like to share with you is that the JUNCTION for this processor is 100°C, so any number under these parameters is completely fine.

If you are concern with health of your processor you can run the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool Download Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool, this tool with help run a diagnose and see if there is something wrong with the processor.

Amy.

So you are saying example 95C is fine..lol right. Well anyway I think I got it better after I did my Thermal Paste again.

95°C is below the maximum JUNCTION of your processor, so yes, it is normal.

I am glad to hear that the thermal paste helped, that was actually a good thing to do.
