Hello, I'm wondering whether a Windows 10 IoT Enterprise system with HD Graphics 520 and an i5-6300u or i7-6600u CPU can drive a USB display. Thanks!

Hi intelsupportshootme: Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Graphics communities. We will do our best to provide the information you are looking for.

In regard to your inquiry, the Intel® i5-6300u processor supports eDP/DP/HDMI/DVI:

https://ark.intel.com/products/88190/Intel-Core-i5-6300U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-3_00-GHz https://ark.intel.com/products/88190/Intel-Core-i5-6300U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-3_00-GHz

And the Intel® i7-6600u processor supports eDP/DP/HDMI/DVI:

https://ark.intel.com/products/88192/Intel-Core-i7-6600U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz https://ark.intel.com/products/88192/Intel-Core-i7-6600U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz

Now, since you are referring to a mobile platform what we recommend is to get in contact with the manufacturer of the computer to confirm if they enable the usage of the USB port for display.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards,

Alberto R

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to me. Just to clarify, the Intel HD Graphics 520 driver does not support USB displays natively, and the OEM must install a driver for that purpose. Please let me know.

Cheers.

intelsupportshootme: You are welcome. Yes, that is correct, the OEM should provide the driver, also the hardware needed among some other settings for this configuration to be possible.

Any questions, please let me know.

Regards,
