Regarding your question, "Fans running at high speed on a S1200SPS".

 

This is normally because one or more fans are nor running properly or the BIOS and BMC have not synchronized with the fan setup.

Hi there!

 

 

FRU/SDR means Field Replaceable Unit/ Sensor Data Record. The FRU portion will display information about the system and will allow you to edit some of the fields such as Asset Tag, Part Number, Serial Number, etc for your own inventory purposes among other reasons.

 

 

The SDR will have the proper threshold settings and other parameters. This will allow the system to understand how slow or how fast the fans should run.
