Output to option missing

Hy everybody!

I have a problem when I try connecting my laptop through a HDMI cable to an external monitor or the TV.

Until 2 days ago it worked just fine, but one morning when I opened my laptop, the monitor would not connect and the Output to option in Graphic Options is missing. I changed the cable as I thought this would be the problem, but unfortunately it is not working.

I must mention that when I opened my laptop that morning, it took a long while to open as it was making some updates. After these updates, the option dissapeared.

Also, the monitor is brand new and it worked perfectly and now suddenly the laptop does not see it.

I already tried a driver update, still not working.

I attached the configuration info of the laptop.

Please help.

Thank you

Thank you for your reply. Now I have the option, but the laptop still does not see the TV or the monitor. Basically nothing happens when I choose: http://prntscr.com/hxx82f http://prntscr.com/hxx82f

What else could be the cause?

Are you able to see it in the Multiple Display option? These steps can help you to get here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005599/graphics-drivers.html How To Enable Extended Desktop Mode

I am sorry to hear that.

Could you please let me know your TV/monitor model?

When it worked, did the control panel display "Virtual Display"?

My monitor is a brand new Monitor LED TN Philips 21.5", Wide, FHD, HDMI, 223V5LHSB and the TV is a LED Smart Wellington, 32HD279S.

No, I don't think it showed Virtual Display before. Could this be after the update?

I am thinking that the laptop's HDMI port might be broken? Although I cannot imagine how this could happen overnight.

Thank you confirming this /thread/121269 adinaalexe.

Is possible that the update changed the name, and it is possible that the HDMI is not working properly. But, I have a couple suggestions that can help to narrow this, please see below;

Let me know it goes.
