I am checking the vulnerability of Intel based PC's at my place of work.

On some of the result logs I'm seeing the aforementioned values ("REKEY_ERROR value" and "Re-Key needed").

I'm trying to find out what these mean.

Hi Mr. Jiggs,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

I've escalated this to our engineering team.

Could you please confirm that you are running version 1.0.0.152 of the detection tool? If you have an older version, please download the latest version from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27150 Download Intel-SA-00086 Detection Tool

It would also be helpful if you could provide a screenshot of the output.

Thanks.

Thanks. I will let you know when I get a response from engineering. It would still be helpful to get a screenshot of the log file. It would also be helpful to get a screenshot of the .xml file output.

Hi. Engineering has confirmed that this is an error in the tool. An updated tool with a fix should be available in 1-2 weeks.

Your system should be showing as Not Vulnerable.
