e8400 p5b overclock

hi all>

You must be at Bios 2001 to use the E8400: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P5B/HelpDesk_CPU/ P5B | Motherboards | ASUS USA

I suggest you use the E7200 to update the bios, then install the E8400.

If you have bios 2001 installed, then either the E8400 processor is bad, or you have a problem with the board or bios settings and should contact ASUS for support.
