I have activated audio on my monitor connected via an hdmi cable Unfortunately the Intel audio driver yields very very very much poorer sounds than Realtek driver for the notebook integrated or stand-alone speakers connected via jack audio. What can I do to enhance sound quality?
I have an Asus A555LD notebook. (driver date: Jan 15, 2014; driver version: 6.16.0.3135)

The "audio" driver is part of the graphics driver.
What processor do you have, and what operating system do you have.

This is your processor:
https://ark.intel.com/products/81015/Intel-Core-i7-4510U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz Intel® Core™ i7-4510U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.10 GHz) Product Specifications
It has Intel HD 4400 graphics. You can find the latest driver here:

I do not believe it will provide the quality audio you are looking for, but it is the best you can do.
