Hello evangelive,

We understand you swapped the adapter on your ASUS* PCIe WiFi adapter for an Intel Tri-Band Wireless-AC 18260. Since this is not a supported usage, we can't guarantee it will function properly.

However, I believe what you are seeing is an expected scenario as described in our article: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000024989/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Different Adapter Name in Device Manager for Certain Intel® Wireless Gigabit Adapters.

What happens is that your wireless is made up of three separate modules: Wi-FI, WiGig, and Bluetooth®. Each is displayed separately in device manager:

We hope this helps.

Best regards,

Hello evangelive,

Intel® WiGig doesn't support direct wireless access to the Internet (using 802.11ad). However, you can connect wirelessly to a dock which in turn can support a wired Ethernet connection.

Otherwise, you may look into the https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/dual-band-wireless-ac-9260-brief.pdf Intel® Wireless-AC 9260, which supports up to 1.73 Gbps and downlink MU-MIMO for faster 802.11ac connectivity.
