Jaunt have demonstrated the use of "volumetric capture" to model 360-degree avatars using six RealSense cameras and insert them into a mobile AR environment.

A zoom-in of an image in Jaunt's YouTube video accompanying the article indicates that the camera model used is D415.
Intel themselves have also demonstrated volumetric capture with four hardware-synced D435 cameras at the Sundance festival in January 2018.
