Looking for a supplier for the SR300 bare board module connector:

IPEX 20347-310E-12R - USB 3.1

As described in the product data sheet section 8.6.2 (Intel Production Part Numbers: MM# 943228, H89061-XXX† †(X) )

I assume there is an supplier who has familiarity manufacturing this part, let me know if you've had success sourcing this connector,

Just to clarify for future users,

The IPEX link you have provided is only for the connector and requires another supplier to do a cable assembly.

I've found the Mouser interposer board, can you clarify the function/requirement here? Is the interposer responsible for this requirement:

To support firmware recovery, a 3.3V controllable interrupt must be connected to the SR300 INT pin.

Or is it that as discussed in this ticket ( ) the interposer is only required to create a USB adaptor for inline connections.

To simply the build in my assembly I would prefer to have a simple cable like this:

Do you see any issues with this method?

Yes, the connector is made up of a number of separate parts, and the cable also has to be purchased separately. The focus in my response was on the specific part number that you were seeking.

A German website lists an adapter board for the SR300.

They also list a cable.

The interposer board provides the interface between the cable receptable and the main circuit board in the camera. The cable is also sometimes known as an interposer cable for this reason.

Pages 32 to 34 of the SR300 data sheet document explain the connector parts in detail.

Regarding your simplified design: other people can probably give better advice than I can on whether it will work, as I do not have hands-on experience of building with those parts.

3D RealSense Camera Module W/ USB Cable For Intel RealSense SR300 / F200

They sell just the cable for around $20. The design is pretty much the same as yours.

Although I think you can get the adapters from intel for less. I am currently looking for the cable that connects to the camera module (i-pex?)
