What is the maximum output resolution on Intel HD graphics 620 video card.

Hello, I currently own a dell laptop with Intel HD graphics 620 video card. I am in the process of purchasing an external monitor to connect to this laptop. I need to know what is the maximum output resolution on this video card. The monitor I am trying to purchase has resolution 2560 by 1440. So I need to know if with Intel HD graphics 620 card I indeed will be able to see 2560 by 1440 resolution on my new external monitor or will it force me to lower resolution such as 1920 by 1080?Thank you for your help.

I understand you need to know the maximum screen resolution for the Intel® HD graphics 620.Let me help you on this matter.After checking the graphics controller features I see the maximum screen resolution is 4096*2304 at 60 or 24 Hz. So even if the resolution is lowered to 1920x1080 you can't go higher then 60hz?

Thank you for your patience. In order to get 1920 by 1080 at 120Hz you will need to meet the following criteria:

At 1920x1080 @144Hz requires 10.75 Gbps of signal bandwidth.

- At 1920x1080 @120Hz requires 8.96 Gbps of signal bandwidth.

- At 1920x1080 @60Hz requires 4.48 Gbps of signal bandwidth.

- At 1920x1080 @50Hz requires 3.738 Gbps of signal bandwidth.

Additionally, see the picture attached and you will notice the amount of bandwidth required to get proper screen resolution and refresh rate.
