Information regarding ME Firmware revisions (Intel-SA-00086)

Afternoon,

I have a quick question regarding ME Firmware revision on X299 Chipset. The Security Centre bulletin states that the minimum requirement firmware for SA-00086 on 7th Gen X Series processors is 11.11.50.1402.

With this in mind, can someone please confirm why the detection tool states I am not vulnerable using firmware 11.10.0.1287?

Apologies if I am missing something here.

This is resolved. The detection tool was reporting the incorrect firmware revision. Using the firmware utility (-FMV) shows that the firmware installed is 11.11.50.1402.

Hello Silent_Scone

Thank you for joining the community

Understand that you have inquiries on Intel-SA-00086 due to the detection tool is identifying that your system is not venerable even do you have a different version of firmware, first the tool is designed to identify if the venerability may affect your system, in this case, is detecting that you are not vulnerable

In this case, have you verify with the manufacturer of your motherboard if the version that you have is the correct one to cover the vulnerability?

Regards,

Leonardo C.

As above, Intel's website states the minimum version requirement for i7 X Series processors is 11.11.50.1402. I'm currently using 11.10.0.1287. The correct version should be the same for all X299 motherboards, yes?
