Problems with Intel HD Graphics 4000 when playing games.

Hello, everybody.

2 days ago I started experiencing a weird graphical glitch/error when playing games on my laptop, a Toshiba Portege R930. All drivers are up to date and this problem started without notice and didn't go away after formatting. This first happened when I was playing Counter-Strike:Global Offensive with some friends and after some testing, I have observed that the same kind of problem is happening with other games (League of Legends, Mass Effect, Skullgirls) too, especially ones that use 3D models (I'll upload some images). From what I've seen around the internet, that may be a sign that my laptop may be dying and there's not much else to do - which is really sad, since it has only a bit more of 2 years of use - but I still to confirm if that is true indeed, which is why I have turned to this forum to seek help. I'll add the laptop specs and some images below. Thank you very much for your attention!

SPECS:

Toshiba Portege R930

Processor: Intel i5-3320M CPU 2.60GHZ (3rd gen)

RAM: 4,00GB

Intel HD Graphics 4000

OS: Windows 10 PRO

And now, the images:

CS:GO:

Notice the weird shaped things around the hand, that's not supposed to look like that.

These weird green/purple squares are not supposed to be there as well

League of Legends:

League of Legends looks even worse than CS:GO in this case, but as you can see, it is as if parts of the characters 3d models are distorted and out of place.

The last one is from Skullgirls. It's a mostly (I think) 2D game, but some visual bugs are presente as well, although less noticeable.

Weird orange dots around the character (you can notice it if you look at the purple one),

Once again, thanks for your attention and help!

Hello mar1onette

To try to find a solution for the problem, you can try to disable the Windows 10 game mode see the following link:

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-enable-disable-game-mode-windows-10-creators-update https://www.windowscentral.com/how-enable-disable-game-mode-windows-10-creators-update

Please be aware that the content on that site is not controlled by Intel*. This information is offered for your convenience and should not be viewed as an endorsement by Intel* for the merchants or services offered there.

Another troubleshooting step is to review in the BIOS if you can increase the video memory setting. Please refer to the manufacturer for the BIOS configuration

Hello Leonardo

I've tried to disable W10 Game Mode, but it doesnt look like it was enabled from the start. Also tried to increase the video memory through the BIOS but there was no such option. I'm starting to notice some minor graphical errors when I'm using my laptop aside from gaming as well, sadly. It was suggested by a friend, who has some expertise in the area, to rollback to Windows 7 and see if something changes. Would that be of any help?

Thanks for you help, but I think it's done for now. It's getting worse by the minute, there's a bunch of little white dots showing up everywhere and it's all over the screen. I'll add a print so you can see how it looks like. I'm pretty sure my integrated graphics is dying.
