That was a wonderful review, and I am not just saying that because it was highly positive. Your enthusiasm for computer vision is clear.
I would just add that you can dampen reflections by applying a fine spray powder such as foot or baby powder to objects, or a pro anti reflection 3D scanning spray, though it isn't practical in every situation, such as puddles.
And yes, the default scale of a D400 device is one millimeter, allowing for a maximum expressive range of ~65 meters
