Kaby Lake i3 7100 Buggy Hyperthreading

It takes more or less 30 seconds to start firefox with my intel i3 -7100 with hyper-threading enabled. But will take only more or less 10 seconds to start if hyper-threading is disabled.

My system:

CPU = i3 7100 @ 3.9 GHz

Motherboard = MSI H110M pro VH_Plus

Ram = 4 GB

OS = Windows 10 pro (updated)

Hello rollyalvarez3rd,

Thank you for contacting Intel® Communities Support.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may be causing. We will be more than happy looking for a solution.

Please let me have your system configuration as follows:

Memory RAM brand and part number:

Power supply brand and wattage:

Did you test the processor on another motherboard or another processor on your motherboard?

One last recommendation is to complete a Bios Recovery, you can check with the Motherboard manufacturer how to do it.

Stephen,

It seems I am one of those victims of spectre variant. I just rolled back to old version of system drivers and everything went back to normal. Thanks for the reply anyway.
