Multiple DVI monitors with DVI splitter?

Hello! I'm trying to use a DVI splitter to output to two DVI monitors. I can get it to mirror the desktop on both monitors but not extend it. Is this something supported with my Intel HD Graphics 5500 card in my Thinkpad T450S (with the docking station) or is it just one monitor per port?

Allow me to share with you that Intel does not recommend the use of any kind of adapters/docking station. This is because we cannot test all of them, and we cannot guarantee that these are going to work, I would recommend making sure that the system has the drivers up to date, I also recommend verifying the technical specifications on the adapters with their manufacturer for the set up that you are testing.
