I want to access i2c based devices how can I access that device.I am new to X86 on ARM we have device tree to access hardware information like that what is procedure for x86.We can access at UEFI level or we can access at Kernel level.

In order to be on the same page, could you please let us know the part numbers and SKUs of the devices related to this thread? By the way, could you please clarify if the project related to it has been designed by you or a third-party company? In case that it is s a third-party unit, please give us all the information related to it.

Hi Carlosx,

 

This is design by us oniy we are using atom E3845 processor. I am not sure what is SKU, can you please elaborate what it means.

The SKU is also named SSPEC number, which is stated in the top side markings of the processors. You can confirm this information and more details in Component Marking Information section, on pages 16 and 17 of the Intel Atom(R) Processor E3800 Specification Update document # 329901 that can be found at the following website:

On the other hand, the information that may help you is stated in section 6.2.1; on pages 14, 15, and 16 of the Intel(R) Atom(TM) Processor E38XX I2C Module Software Driver Design Specification document # 560112. This document is accessible when you are logged into your Resource Design Center (RDC) privileged account at:
