Affordable 10m extension for D435

Hi. This question has been asked but I was wondering if there have been any updates on this.

I've been looking for an affordable 10-12m extension cable for the D435. These have been recommended on the forum:

But they are very expensive and they are charging an extortionate £200 for delivery to the UK. As we will need 5, this amounts to close to £1,000. A fair chunk!

I was wondering about the feasibility of plugging the 1m cable supplied with the RS into a 10m active extension cable like this one:

Has anyone tried this?

A user-recommended alternative to Newnex is the cable in the link below, which is available in lengths between 1m and 5m.

When researching cable options yourself, I would recommend looking for ones that are 'industrial grade' to ensure that they are the proper quality to work with RealSense cameras (which send high volumes of data along the cable). So any extension solution used has to be a high quality product.

A top-quality supplier in the UK who has been trading for decades and who stock USB-C cables is RS Components.

There are further options that can be considered. Recently, ethernet networking of cameras emerged as a possible option. An example of this is 'EtherSense'.

The documentation for it says that the configuration demonstrated "should allow for a number of RealSense cameras to be connected over distances greater then 30m".

The CONIX Research Center at Carnegie Mellon also produced an ethernet approach supporting 10 to 20 RealSense 400 Series cameras.
