programming failed with quartus_jli and Stratix-10

I am using Quartus Prime Pro 19.1 with 19.1.1 patch. There are 3 FPGAs (1SG280HN2xxx) in JTAG chain. I can use .sof to program them properly. Then a JAM file has been generated for JTAG programming. I use quartus_jli command line and try to program FPGAs with generated JAM file. It failed with exactly same error message as version 17.1.1 described in Forum.

I got same error message by using Corelis JTAG tool.

Did 19.1 fix this bug or it is a open ticket?

Hi Shujiang, Seems like the device has got no problem as you are able to program sof file. Have you connected in a proper manner? https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/an/an425.pdf (Page 14) Regards, YL

I think our PWA design and Altera FPGAs works fine also. Cause 1: they passed BSCAN without any issue 2: schematic design was verified with Altera engineer 3: FPGAs can be programmed with .sof files using ByteBluster of Quartus prime pro 19.1 .

I am wondering if Quartus prime pro 19.1 still has same software issue as Quartus prime pro 17.1.1 which can't program FPGAs with .jam file.
