Hi,
ncsdk (https://github.com/movidius/ncsdk) installation installs also the mvNC (Compile, Check, Profile) utilities and adds their sources to /opt/movidius/NCSDK/ncsdk-*/tk/.
Is it possible to make a repository from these sources? This could be very useful for implementing custom layers - either when they are built of currently supported layers (For example, swish activation ( https://arxiv.org/abs/1710.05941) is a combination of Scale, Sigmoid and Eltwise) or for MDK users that want to implement proprietary layers in MvTensor.
Thanks,
Raizy

@rkellerm Thanks for the suggestion. At the moment, there isn't any plans to make a public repository for the SDK toolkit. That being said, it is always a possibility if there is enough developer interest.

IMHO it's in Intel's interest to open source as much of the toolchain and specification as the intellectual property lawyers will allow. There's tremendous power in this device that's locked away from hobbyists because it's currently configured for inference only, works only on an Ubuntu 16.04 or Raspberry Pi host, with a limited number of layers available and a focus on image processing.
