EPCQ32A will not program in Quartus 15 thru 19 on EP4CE75.

We have one board that has multiple migration devices. Up until now we have been using EP4CE55 with an eeprom (mode=2) and EP4CE115 with software download (mode=0).

We recently recieved an order for the board with EP4CE75. Mode 0 works on all of the boards, however the eeproms aren't working.

EP4CE55 -- EPCQ16 <-- works OK!!

EP4CE75 -- EPCQ32 will program with Quartus programmer but will not load on power up until I disable the ID check while converting the programming file. (This ID IS 16).

EP4CE75 -- EPCQ32A will not program. "Device 1 has wrong silicon ID" (This ID IS 16).

I'm using Quartus 15 thru 19.

We would like to be able to program the parts with the A in the future.

Thanks!!

This is Quartus 19 with a "A" device and a working board.

Per my original question. "I'm using Quartus 15 thru 19".

Hi,

  1. In the picture above, are you using Quartus 15 or 19? What do you mean by using Quartus 15 thru 19?
  2. If you are using Quartus 19, you need to fully recompile your design again as you are using IP config in the design.

Thank you.

Aiman
