Intel Involved coordinated a donation which provided over 50 laptops to Laptops 4 learning, a local non-profit focused on helping close the digital divide. With the help of Intel’s Sales & Marketing Group, these brand-new laptops will be targeted for socio-economically disadvantaged K-12 college students and military service veterans within our community.

Laptops 4 Learning is a local 501©3 non-profit organization that focuses on supporting students and veterans who do not have the means to obtain a laptop. Founder Dwayne Baker observed that school-sponsored technology resources were the only available resources to keep up with assignments. The initiative focuses on supplying any student or veteran that needs support, with essential technology to further education and employment opportunities.

The laptop donation will help support the drive to equip students for success by limiting the barriers to accessing technology. With the increasing presence of technology in today’s world, access to a computer is a requirement for success. Intel is grateful to partner with Laptops 4 Learning to help facilitate and support this important societal need.

“Laptops 4 Learning has played a pivotal role in many students and veterans lives by providing technology that is important for success today. With Intel’s donation, we can further contribute to this need. We are happy to collaborate with Intel with a joint commitment to education and closing the digital divide in Arizona.” said executive director, Brenda Powell.
