Hi AlessandroF,

Thank you for contacting Intel Ethernet Support.

Regarding your enquiries, you unable to get the SFP transceiver module from an ESXi host. You can use the command esxcli network nic get -n vmnicX to get some basic Layer1 information only. Those information may be available from Server Mgmt Console: iDRAC or iLO.

Other than that, you may want to refer link below for some information about the SFP for Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter XXV710 (you may click on related product and find the Product Brief)

Hi, thanks for reply. The informations like temperature are not available from iDRAC.

I successfully got these information for hba card using a plugin driver for esxi, I was hoping there might be a similar solution.

There is no way to get that from intel driver?

Hi AlessandroF,

To get those details, please try to use command is ethtool -m <interface>

Unfortunately, there is no tool in VMware that will provide this information.
