Hello,
I am new in this forum and hope for some advice to solve my problem with onboard-graphics-resolution on a LINUX Mint 21.2 Cinnamon-system. Please pardon my English, mother tongue is German.
Currently a motherboard 'MSI B250M PRO-VDH' (MS7A70) with onboard graphics 'Intel® HD Graphics 530' GPU Skylake GT2 is installed in my PC.
Under Windows everything works fine, resolution is 1600x900 (monitor AOC 24G2W1G4). GPU-Z-result attatched. Unfortunately, this is not the case with LINUX MINT Cinnamon 21.2. The monitor is recognized, but not all resolutions are offered. I would like to continue to use 1600x900, but only 1920x1080, 1280x720 and below are available under Settings -> Screen.
"xrandr" also does not display 1600x900 resolution. "sudo apt install xserver-xorg-video-intel" returns that the driver is up to date.
On the Intel website I can only find drivers for Windows, also at MSI I will not find what I am looking for with regard to LINUX/UBUNTU. Changing Kernel to 5.15 didn´t take effekt. At my request in the LinuxMintUsers forum, I have not received a solution to this particular problem.
Don´t know, if it is helpful, but here is the result of inxi -Fzr:
