How do I know if my graphics card is updated or not?

I have HP Pavilion dv7-6c95dx running on Windows 7 SP1 with Intel HD Graphics 3000 and I would like to know if my graphics card is updated to the latest version or not?

The reason why is I was struggling with Civ 5 so I'm trying to find the tips and it recommended me to try to update my graphics driver to the latest version, but I was scared about updating it if it goes wrong, you know?

I'm just curious and plus I'm a newbie to technology in my laptop (apart from Windows Update, I never messed with "Device Manager"
