Intel GMA 950 Single Display Mode

Is there any way to force the Intel GMA 950 graphics to output in single display mode by default?

Currently each time we deploy an image to our intel boards the display resorts back to clone mode dispite what was set on the image when it was taken.

Any help welcomed.
