Laptop
Operating System: Windows 8.1
Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60GHz
Model:
Samsung ATIV Book 4 NP470R5E-K01UB 15.6'' LaptopI originally went to the Intel website and used the Utility tool to check for any available drivers. Originally, the Utility recommended Driver version 15.33.30.64.3958. I tried installing it but it told me
"The driver being installed is not validated for this computer
Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer. Setup will exit. "
I then went online with research and stumbled onto this forum
I followed what the Correct Answer suggested and I uninstalled the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000, then restarted my computer.
I tried running the Intel executable I downloaded before but it still did not work (The same error appeared). My laptop automatically downloaded the default driver (Driver Version: 10.18.10.3958). I even tried installing it manually by
right clicking Intel(R) Graphics 4000 under the Display adapters in Device Manager and placing the correct directory
C:\Intel Drivers\Graphics
But that still did not work and my laptop reinstalled the same driver (10.18.10.3958 ). I don't why why its doing this. What should I do?
Tried going to the Samsung site to download any drivers there but could not find any. All of their available updates are old (2013) and are Windows 7 updates.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please uninstall the driver completely from your system. Here you can refer to different methods:
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm
Once you do it, try installing the latest driver at this location:

If during the installation you get the same message as before, please follow these instructions:

Does my laptops reluctance to download a new graphics driver show that I should not attempt to download a graphics driver from Intel and should stick with the OEM driver?
Would completely removing my graphics driver malfunction my laptop in anyway? Because I have gone to the Samsung site and it does not offer any new graphics drivers.

Samsung developed their driver that contains special features that can be lost by installing our generic driver.
If you want to update the driver and install our generic driver, you can get it here:
