Hi,
I have windows 8.1 (pre-installed) on ASUS vivobook S551LB. It's been working fine for almost a year now. Recently, I have been getting BSOD with Driver Power State Failure as it resumes from sleep. I think this problem started when I allowed windows to install the following update:
nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3, Other hardware - NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M
I then allowed a pending ASUS liveupdate: Intel Graphics Driver v10.18.10.3308.02. However, after reboot the ASUS Live update history shows this update failed.
I also looked into the minidump, it seems to identify iaStorA.sys as blocked IRP.
Please tell me how to proceed from here. Thanks.

Hello Sw_750,
Checking the computer configuration I see it has hybrid graphics meaning that you computer requires a special driver developed and provided by your computer manufacturer.
It seems the Nvidia graphics Controller is working as main card in the system so there are a couple of steps you can try:
- Updating the Graphics driver provided by Asus.
- Update the bios to latest version provided by Asus.
Here you have a very informative article about switchable graphics systems:
