Intel SR300 Razer Stargazer Cant get it to work with OBS

Recently purchased the Razer Stargazer and just realising now that there isnt much support anymore for these sorts of products. Got the camera working in general, the realsense is working fine in xsplit and all other programs however, the intel real-sense plugin located in OBS fails to function.https://gyazo.com/4132ea0c25daa38f5cbbdc7d65c31bb8 https://gyazo.com/4132ea0c25daa38f5cbbdc7d65c31bb8

Ive contacted OBS, they told me to personally ask you guys at intel as you apparently coded the plugin for them and they have no idea. Its also slightly frustrating to find that a lot of the programs listed on intels website are all 404 errors and no longer support intel realsense. Razer seems to have fully disowned this product by removing it from their website and failing to reply to support tickets. So, if you dont know why OBS might be failing could you perhaps recommend a application or program that will support intels realsense so it will work with OBS. As ive said, xsplit the realsense camera works fine but i hate xsplit and am more of an OBS Fan, so yea. Help me please

The Razer Stargazer usually works fine with applications that work with SR300. However, the Razer does seem to have problems with OBS' green-screen function.

The article linked below suggests how to green-screen in OBS using any camera, rather than the RealSense software specifically.

SR300 is now a retired product, though it continues to be supported on this help forum with tech advice (though not new driver updates), as are all previous RealSense models. SR300 is compatible with the current RealSense SDK 2.0 software.

The whole reason for me buying the webcam was to avoid using a greenscreen haha so thats not really an option. Its a real shame that Razer advertises it as working with OBS then when it really doesnt.... Seems like i just wasted $400AUD on something that doesnt even work. Amazon wont even give me a refund too so thats great. Feels like i just got scammed.

I am a little confused. You said that you wanted to avoid using green-screen in OBS, but you are selecting the green-screen option from the menu. If you just want the RGB video, an option such as Display Capture or Video Capture Device might work better.

I'm not aware of any past cases of incompatibilities with SR300-compatible applications that involve the Razer Stargazer. It has usually been fully reliable as an SR300 camera.

If you have just bought your Razer, you could try using the SR300 Depth Camera Manager program to update the drivers and the camera's internal 'firmware' to the final version that was available. The Depth Camera Manager program can be downloaded in your browser using the link below.

Do you know any applications that I can use to just remove the background using the intel realsense? Something similar to CatchEye3D That is not longer a thing though.

The 'RealSense SDK 2016 R2' software package that is used to develop applications for RealSense has a pre-made SR300 sample application that can be launched as a normal program without doing any programming. It is called 3D Segmentation.

The 2016 R2 SDK software can be launched in your browser as a 1.8 gb download with the link below.

http://registrationcenter-download.intel.com/akdlm/irc_nas/vcp/9078/intel_rs_sdk_offline_package_10.0.26.0396.exe http://registrationcenter-download.intel.com/akdlm/irc_nas/vcp/9078/intel_rs_sdk_offline_package_10.0.26.0396.exe

When installation is completed, it will have placed a folder on your PC desktop called Intel RealSense SDK Gold. within this is a program called 'Sample Browser' that can be used to browse through the sample programs.

If you enter the word 'segmentation' into the search box of the browser then you can find it rapidly. There are two versions of the program, 'C++' and 'C# '. One of those should work for you.

How do I get the segmented webcam footage into OBS?

You could use the segmentation program's Live mode to generate the background removal in real-time, and in OBS use the Window Capture option to stream the window's live contents into your OBS view. You could probably remove the options side-panel part of the segmentation window by defining only the video area of the window to be captured.

So basically i have it running however whenever you enable the camera it just freezes and disables the segmentation: https://gyazo.com/a6cc681a91abf20cf6e82453450d9c87 Screen capture - a6cc681a91abf20cf6e82453450d9c87 - Gyazo

Unless you were talking about using it like this....

I think thats unethical way of doing it when streaming though

I meant just capturing the grey area and excluding the options part of the interface by setting the red line borders, as your image illustrated..
