PCIe hotplug issues with Stratix IV GX?

Hi,

I've started working with the Stratix IV devkit and noticed that programming procedures require that a second PC program the board plugged into a first PC. In other words it does not appear to support hotplug or re-enumeration.

Does anyone know a way around this, or where the problem lies? Is this an issue with the PCIe hard block on the Stratix IV or with the Jungo drivers or the OS ... or ... ?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Peter

i do not know the technicals of why this doesn't work, but you can get away with 1 PC if you boot the PC, program the FPGA, and hit the PC's reset button. the FPGA will not lose its configuration when the PC resets.
