logic level voltage translation (ADC0804 & Cyclone II DE1 board)

Hi,

ive looked all over South Africa for voltage translators and i cant seem to find one even today :(.

I want to interface ADC0804 with the Cyclone II DE1 board. thing is, ADC0804 logic levels (5V for HI and 0V for LOW) are not the same as that of the Cyclone II DE1 board (3.3V for HI and 0V for LOW). what i would like to know is, can i connect the ADC and DE1 board directly without voltage translator since the ADC supports TTL? wont the outputs of the ADC damage my board?

If there's a manual way of translating logic levels please let me know.

Please help

Regards
