Hello Matt9219, if I understand your issue correctly you are attempting to set your system in clone/duplicate display mode at 1920x1080p but when you do that the laptop screen goes black, is this correct?

In case it is, I strongly suggest you updating your Intel® HD Graphics driver to the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23885 latest version as well as the monitor driver. Then, generate the Intel® HD Graphics report and attached via advanced editor.

And i have another very importent problem.

"On a digital connection (such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdmi HDMI) to a monitor or television this can result in grey looking blacks and washed out colours.

This article describes how to extended the driver settings to the full range on a per-user basis, so that full colour rendering is restored."

http://www.sigma-uk.net/wiki/tech/ubuntu_intel_hd_rgb Intel HD Graphics Full RGB Rendering [Sigma Consulting Services]

My operation system is Win 8.1, not linux. What should i change in registry for work Full RGB?

Anyone, who want FullRange RGB HDMI output on http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00348690000P Intel Graphic may try this:

1. Find your current http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00348690000P Intel Graphic Adapter software registry instance under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\xxxx

(0000 on my PC).

2.Create DWORD value:

EnableRGBFullRange

and set it to 1

3. Reboot.

4. Enjoy.

This method work?

Thank you for your anwers and sorry for my bad english.

If you want to set up clone or duplicate display instead of extended mode I suggest you using a screen resolution supported in common by both the built-in monitor and the external monitor/TV.

The laptop's monitor supports 1366x768 but will not likely support 1920x1080. On the other hand the report indicates the TV does not list 1366x768 as a supported screen resolution, hence the recommendation above.

In regards of your second question, is the cable that you are using HDMI only or is it some type of adapter or converter?

The method you described above has not been validated. We do not recommend that type of modifications. However, you can try these steps instead:

  • Reset monitor settings to default or test with a different monitor/TV/HDMI cable.
  • Reset Intel® HD Graphics default settings by pressing Ctrl Alt F8.
  • Do a clean installation of the Intel® HD Graphics driver by first uninstall it from Programs and Features, restart, and then remove it from Device Manager. After another restart you can install the latest version.
  • Update your system BIOS.

Remember you can test the driver provided by the system manufacturer since it was tested with your computer model.
