Hi Angie,

I tried giving in on the terminal:

sudo apt-get install intel-microcode

dmesg | head -n1

sudo apt-get install microcode.ctl intel-microcode

Reboot your computer.

and I also

made the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf

with content:

Section "Device"

Identifier "Intel Graphics"

Driver "intel"

Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"

EndSection

that stopped the flicker

but the display is nothing great.

Thanks for your help.

John
